Tara Sealy is from New Rochelle, NY. She graduated from Hampton University with a degree in communicative sciences and disorders and has gone on to obtain several degrees post Hampton University. Her last degree is focused on curriculum and instruction. She always knew that education was important and she wanted to impact the lives of youth; particularly teenagers. However, this was almost interrupted by a physically and verbally abusive relationship during her undergraduate studies. At 24, she found herself at a crossroads with struggling to love herself, find her voice, defining her future and moving beyond the facade of being happy. She learned how to move beyond the shame of abuse, use her voice to call on the support from family and friends, and love herself. Today, her mission is to empower at least 100,000 teen and adult women to use their voice in commanding their power to pursue a life on their own terms without fear of being shamed. She is able to connect and empower women through education and fitness. She wants to share her journey of challenges to inspire the next women to tap into their support systems and not give up. One of her favorite quotes is, “If you stumble and fall on your back, if you can look up, you can get up.” That defines her motivation and mission.
